Plastic Beach, Sisterworld, Logorama and wherever it is that Flash Delirium lives

This week, music and film lovers who didn’t like their own world all that much had quite the pick from imaginary (better?) places to live. Plastic Beach, Sisterworld, Logorama, and whatever the fuck place it is that Flash Delirium lives, let’s call it Flashlandia™. Personally, while Logorama would definitely be trippy as hell, I think I’d probably opt for Flashlandia™. It seems to me that colours would just be much brighter there and the bubblegum sweeter. Sisterworld would be cool too, lots of concrete, the occasional droning sound emitting from an abandoned building, leaky taps and mute squirrels etc., but some crazy guy with a fork for a hand would probably just keep bugging you, and try and sell you peanuts or something. Plus the ‘clink clink clink’ and the constant muttering would probably get to you after a while. As for Plastic Beach, I already shared my thoughts on that the other day. Escapism? Yes please.

In a parallel world (or is it a flash sideways?), some pretty great music found its way to my mailbox and into my ears this week:

This track is taken from the Edible Onion compilation, which you can buy here.

We posted a track called Leave Me In Love by these guys a few weeks ago. Here’s another one, something to put a little sweetness into into your day.

Nope, Googolplex doesn’t count as another world. It’s a number. Anyway, I found a rather handy tool to write random track blurbs here, and I’ll use it to describe the song:

This tune was wonderful, and I found the music to be soaring. The lyrics of this song were hard to hear sometimes, and in addition, the rhythm was of smooth quality. The vocal was relaxing, then the structure was toe tapping. The full piece was challenging. You could try improving this track by concentrating on the vocals. Hope this has helped you.

Not bad, right? Better than I could have done.

Have a great weekend, whatever world you end up spending it in. Oh, and if anyone can tell me how to make italics and bold STICK in WordPress (i.e. remain once I’ve posted), please leave a comment and spare everyone this awfulness in the future. :)
