LHNA readers! I’ve been away for a long time- though Steven has been posting some wonderful stuff lately so I don’t think my absence was heartily felt, which is a good thing – and the reason for that is exams. Yep, last exam session before graduation. My excitement-o-meter is running very high but I’m actually going to miss my classes. I mean, how can you not miss something called ‘Rewriting the Canonical Figure: Antigone, Oedipus and Medea in Anglophone African literature’ ? (an amazing class with an incredible teacher) It’s impossible not to! I realize I’m trying and failing to avoid sounding dorky but I promise you the class is objectively awesome.
But enough of that. Since this is really the first proper summer post I’ve had this year, I thought I must make it a sunny one. A Belle & Sebastian cover from the lovely Mates of State, Spanish indie pop songs about ice cream and some favourite Etsy items to leave you salivating. Can this post get any more twee summery?

welcome back and congrads Eliza
out of curiosity what was your major?
Thanks! My major was English Language & Literature, but the class I mentioned earlier was taught by a professor who mostly focused on postcolonial studies so I also had a lot of that too during my 4 years (having greedily taken all of her classes). But mostly it was all linguistics, semantics, literary theory, etc.
