For those of you wondering, yep, we survived! Things have been so busy lately (with the move  and all), I only just realised I’d completely forgotten to post a few pictures and videos from the  Great Indie Tour of 2010. So, slightly delayed, here you go!

Kings of Convenience in Barcelona – July 22

This was our first gig as residents of Barcelona and what a special one it was. The concert took place on the side of a mountain (Montjuic), in the Poble Espanyol. The Poble Espanyol is something of a outdoor open-air architectural museum (in the form of a small town); built for the World Expo in 1929 to showcase various building styles from around Spain. The gig itself took place right in the heart of it, on the main square, and was the perfect setting for Kings of Convenience to give us goosebumps (particularly on Homesick).

Belle and Sebastian  in Santander – July 23

We flew to Bilbao, followed by a 1.5 hour bus trip to see Belle and Sebastian. When we got back, the band announced a date in Barcelona next month…

Jens Lekman in Paris – August 4

We had the fortune of bumping into two friends from Athens in Paris (thank you, last.fm) for this, and I got to tick off an artist from my all-time top-3 ‘to see’ concerts. The concert was magical. As was Paris. We also gained a pretty good story about the after-show party (or, more specifically, getting in to the party).

We’re off to Reading tomorrow, so be sure to check in next week for some pics and videos from that.
